Thankful

Psalm 92:1 “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Thy name, O Most High.”

I am thankful for:

Some Thoughts

I thought I would copy off Goeppner’s blog and do a little segment of “Some Thoughts”

1. I love being married. I have the best husband in the world and feel so blessed to know somebodys always got my back.

2. I long to see leaves change colors.

3. I’m so excited the holidays are coming and can’t wait to start decorating the house!

4. Ministry can be exhausting and weird. But it’s always rewarding, and I know the Lord is teaching me ALOT!

5. I’m not gonna lie…I’m a little nervous about Kentucky basketball this year.

6. I can’t wait to go to Kentucky in a couple of weeks to spend some time with the fam. It’s so relaxing to go to the parent’s house and have some down time.

7. I’ve been taking great comfort in the Lord’s promise in Philippians 1:6 that God will carry on the work He began in me until it is completed. And I’ve been learning from Jeremiah 17:5, “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength.” I’ve been realizing that I can’t do things on my own and need to completely rely on the Lord.

8. I love pumpkin flavored anything: lattes, bread, pancakes…

9. I am proud of my first attempt at homemade guacamole. It was the first thing to go at our Young Adults cookout :)

10. I need to be more humble.

A little taste of fall

This “cold front” couldn’t have come sooner. I was getting angry at South Florida. Mad at the humidity. Frustrated at the ninety degree temperatures. And just downright depressed at the fact that I was still sweating every time I stepped outside.

But Saturday morning I woke up to low 60s! This meant the sweaters and jackets were coming out. Some of you in the North are probably laughing at me right now. But I had to take advantage. I thought it would only last for a day or two, but it’s Wednesday night right now and the temperatures keep dropping! I’m considering pulling out some mittens.

I forced our Young Adults group to drink hot chocolate last night but I just can’t help it…anything to make it feel more like fall here! I’ve been sucking down pumpkin spice lattes and burning holiday candles, and I think it’s starting to work. The front is supposed to last a couple more days so I’m savoring every moment.

It really has been gorgeous weather, and I’m so thankful for it. Just pray it lasts a little longer!
